A break from the Atomium images – found these pretty flowers in a little pond whilst walking around the area.
Still on the Atomium, this time a close up view with the lights on. The LED were installed as part of the renovations in 2006. The lights came on relatively late, around 10:30 pm. Though there were very few people around, you could hear a collective and appreciative "wow" when it was lit up.

Something a bit different to the architectural / travel pictures lately. This was in the hotel that we stayed in Spain and I loved the children’s pool area which had these colourful and interesting slides/fountains. Though the water was so cold that you could not get in to it!

A lone fisherman sits in awe and appreciation of a beautiful sunrise on benalmadena beach in Costa Del Sol, Spain.
This was shot while walking towards the Brooklyn Bridge walkway just after the sun had set and the lights were coming on. The building in the middle is the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse and the on the left is the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building.
A very common scene of yellow cabs in New York, whizzing past the tall skyscrapers. However, these ones look a bit more modern than the ones shown in the movies!
After a long day’s walking around New York, we stopped over this cool restaurant / bar for some refreshments. This apple cider was delicious and being hot was perfect for the cold day!
