Burj Al Arab

This iconic building needs no explanation nor detail – it’s so famous! If you don’t know about it, you should definitely google it – there are so many amazing facts that can’t be listed here. The last time I was in Dubai I missed out going to Jumeirah Beach and seeing this in hotel in person so this time I made sure to get there – even if it was at 1am in the morning.

It was a very foggy and misty night and the sky was very dull so I enhanced it with a stock photo of the milky way in photoshop.

Another church, another roof

The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula is amazing both inside and out. The architecture of the building, the amazing sculptures inside and the beautiful stained glass windows make this an amazing and wonderful building to visit and appreciate.

Atomium II

Constructed as a key attraction for the 1958 World Fair, it was an amazing engineering and construction achievement. featuring the fastest elevator and longest escalator at that time. It was planned to be dismantled after the fair but it was such a popular feature that it was left standing year on year. However, over the years, very little maintenance was done so it was quite deteriorated until in 2004 it was closed for renovation. It was reopened in 2006 after €26 million worth of renovation.
