This is the view from the Las Arenas in Barcelona, a former bullring, now converted to a shopping mall with a top floor that has restaurants and a platform to go right round the building for a spectacular 360 degrees view of Barcelona city. It is right opposite the Plaça d’Espanya (the roundabout in the picture) and road that leads up to the Magic Fountain.
This was shot while walking towards the Brooklyn Bridge walkway just after the sun had set and the lights were coming on. The building in the middle is the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse and the on the left is the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building.
I was hoping to get a beautiful sunset from this bridge but it was so cloudy that the sun was hidden and the colours muted. So settled for the blue hour and some light trails. Needless to say, it was freezing cold and wind on the bridge was not helping one bit. It was also fun dodging the speeding cyclists while I struggled with carrying the tripod on some of the narrower sections.
